Alliant Visa Signature - An Unlimited 3% Cashback Card

Alliant Credit Union has made its Visa Signature 3% cashback card public on April 2017. The highlights are
  1. 3% cashback on all purchases for the first year
  2. 2.5% cashback thereafter
  3. No foreign transaction fees
  4. $59 annual fee, wavied the first year
  5. Large credit line since its a Visa Signature
I personally tried applying, but they are very strict with regards to income requirements. Since the card is a Visa Signature, they generally require annual income north of $100,000. I was rejected and offered the Platinum Rewards Visa and a chance to upgrade it to the Visa Signature card in 6 months if my income could reach that level. They perform income verification according to data points on Doctor of Credit's blog, but it is random.

In order to receive the cashback rewards, you can redeem it as a statement credit or as a deposit to an Alliant checking or savings account.

So far, this is the best general category cashback card in the market.
